Sabbath. Study. Serve.

Sabbath, Study, Serve
Taking the Sermon Into Our Week

Scripture of the Week: 2 Cor 5: 1-21

From the Sermon:
For Paul, walking by faith is all about ______________.

Walking by faith feels like we are trying to go through this world _________________________, but also knowing that we many not recognize or understand everything.

Even if we can’t fully _____, it does not mean that we cannot trust.

For Paul, the entire reason that we can trust God is because we have a _____________ with him.

It is the love of Christ that _____________ us to share.

In order to be a disciple we ourselves need to be _______________.

Reflection Questions:
What does it mean to walk by faith?

If the Israelites were to seek the welfare of the place were they were in captivity, should we not be seeking to share the Good News and bless folks here and now?

How is Christ trying to transform us?

What is one step you can take this week to walk by faith?

Prayer:

Lord God, we admit that some days it is a lot easier to walk by faith than others. Sometimes, O Lord, we long to see. On those days, may the glimpses we catch of your glory sustain us. Sometimes, we feel discourage. On those days, may we feel the peace of your abiding presence. Lord, remind us that as we walk by faith, we do not journey alone, for you are leading us all the way. Amen.
