Reflection: When you turn on the news at night and you see another tragedy, what is the first thing that you think or feel? Why do innocent people suffer? Where is our hope during the hardest times? Prayer: Lord, we confess that there are times when we are quick to ask why something happened to someone. We want to know what they did. We want someone to blame. Forgive us, O Lord, and break our hearts open with and for compassion. Amen.
