Sabbath. Study. Serve.

Sabbath, Study, Serve
Taking the Sermon Into Our Week

Scripture of the Week: Luke 1: 5-25

From the Sermon:

Advent is a time for _____________________________________.

In the coming of Jesus Christ we have the gifts of _____ and _______ embodied.

We are told that Elizabeth and Zechariah were ________ and _________ before God.

Silence can often feel like _____________. But other times we can see it as a _________.

Reflection Questions:

How did Zechariah respond to what the angel told him? When are times in our own lives that we have responded to God with disbelief?

How would you respond if God sent you a personal messenger to tell you that your prayers have been heard?

Prayer:

Lord, prepare our hearts to inhabit silence this Advent season. In this time of reflection and renewal, may our hearts become more attuned to hear what you have for us. In the silence, may we revere you. In the silence may we seek and find your mercy. Amen.
