Sabbath, Study, Serve
Taking the Sermon Into Our Week
Scripture of the Week: Romans 7:15-25 and Mark 7: 1-8,14-15, 21-23
From the Sermon:
Sin can be described as __________________________________.
Original Sin - being _______ is having our ______ bent towards ________.
Faith isn’t just about looking from the outside like we don’t struggle with sin - its ____________________________________________.
Only ___________ can break the bonds of sin in our lives.
Reflection Questions:
What is our purpose as the church?
How did the Apostle Paul describe sin?
How can we put ourselves in a position to be used by God in a way that deeply connects with people who may not yet speak the Christian language or know about Jesus?
Prayer:
Lord, we humbly come before you this day and confess that we are all in need of a Savior. Because, Precious Lord, you have given your very self for us, you invite us to give our selves for others - putting aside our wants and preferences in order to proclaim your Gospel message. Use us, this week, to reach folks with the power of your love, we pray. Amen.
